Christy!!!! I am so happy to do a canvas for you. But which darling little lady will be the happy recipient? We don't want to start a fight! Maybe you should have it for yourself! =)

More on Babies Mia and Katie

Well, Baby Mia has had her heart transplant, and so far, everything seems to be working perfectly! You can read here about it, and please continue to donate what you can on their blog to help her sweet family. And you still have time to bid on the canvas here. Every penny of what the winner pays will go directly to Mia's family, and I will cover the postage to get the canvas to you.

And I haven't updated about Little Katie's pancreatic carcinoma in a long time. It seems she is doing really well. She has one more round of chemo, then they head to Boston to determine if they will be able to operate on those awful tumors on her pancreas--that are almost gone, by the way! And I think the tumors that had almost overtaken her lungs are gone! YaYa tells me that her protein level is 7 now, and at one point it was 15,000. I don't really know what that means, but I know it is a good thing.

Both of these sweet girls have a long road ahead of them...I know that it definitely can't hurt to have so many praying for them!

The Ham Family's Prize

The Hams were the winner(s) of my September giveaway, and here is their choice: a very cool Razorback canvas with their name on it! It has a black background, cream dots, and metallic gold accenting! I hope you love it! And here it is in their home! I hear they plan to paint a wall just for this special canvas. Can't wait to see how it looks!

Help Baby Mia

I do not personally know this sweet family, but my heart aches for any family who has a sick child. Here are some words from their blog:

"Baby Mia was born with a severe congenital heart defect and is in need of a new heart. The McDonalds have a job and insurance but after heart operations, and then a heart transplant, additional operations plus all the doctors and medicine and hospital time that this will require... it would financially destroy the best of us. Imagine the emotional rollercoaster that this would put any family on. These are the kind of people that would never ask for help like this. In fact, Mimi has done charity fund raisers for others in the past with nothing to gain for herself. That is why we are stepping in to ask on their behalf. This is what we propose: Donate a few dollars. Donate ONE dollar. It doesn't seem like much, but if you give one and then forward this on to others who donate one; well, one turns into a miracle. If you can afford to give more, please give what you can. Then, send this link to everyone you know and encourage them to make a donation and send it on to people they know. Ask yourself, "What is a heart worth, what is a life worth?""

I know it is small, but I feel compelled to do some little thing to help them out, so I have decided to auction off a custom 16x20 Bibs & Cribs canvas of the winning bidder's choice! The winner will be the person with the last, highest bid, and bidding will end at midnight CST on Saturday, November 15, 2008.
