The independent film, War Eagle Arkansas, opens this weekend in Arkansas and a few selected cities throughout the country. My good friend Jennifer is the Community Development Specialist with United Cerebral Palsy of Arkansas, and one of the people hosting the World Premiere right here in Arkansas!
The Movie:
War Eagle is a character-driven drama about a young man's choice of whether to leave his family and friends for a career in baseball or stay and redeem his struggling community (based on a true story).
Enoch and Wheels have been inseparable best friends all of their lives. Enoch has the ability to walk, but unfortunately has a severe stuttering problem that doesn't allow him to form complete sentences without difficulty. Wheels has cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair, but has the ability to speak. It is clear that one couldn't function fully without the other; together they make whole.
